Professor Raanan Berger, MD PhD, is a medical oncologist and radiotherapist. He is Director of the Cancer Center at Sheba Medical Center and heads its clinical research unit. Dr. Lucía González Cortijo is a medical oncologist with more than 20 years of experience. She has led the Medical Oncology Department at Hospital Universitario Quirónsalud Madrid since 2020. Her focus areas include breast and gynecologic cancers. She also works in precision oncology, targeted therapies, and immunotherapy.

She has been Principal Investigator in more than 20 Phase II–III clinical trials. She has also served as sub-investigator in over 50 international trials. She previously worked at Quirónsalud Madrid from 2009 to 2020. Before that, she was at MD Anderson Cancer Center Madrid from 2002 to 2009.

She holds an MD and a PhD (cum laude) from the Autonomous University of Madrid. She completed her Medical Oncology specialty training at Hospital 12 de Octubre. She also earned a Master’s in Molecular Oncology. She is a member of SEOM, ESMO, ASCO, and GEICAM. She is a university lecturer.

Prof. Ben Boursi is a physician in the Gastrointestinal Cancer Department at Sheba Medical Center. He specializes in internal medicine, medical oncology, and cancer epidemiology. He is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology. He earned a B.Med.Sc (summa cum laude) and an MD (magna cum laude) from Tel Aviv University.

Professor Jair Bar, MD, PhD, is a thoracic oncologist and Deputy Director of the Cancer Center at Sheba Medical Center. He leads the Thoracic Oncology Unit. He treats lung cancer, including advanced non-small cell cases. His care includes medical oncology, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy.

He runs a translational research lab focused on resistance to immunotherapy. He has published on exhaled-breath cancer metabolism and on angiogenesis inhibition in lung cancer.

He has chaired the Israel Lung Cancer Group since 2003. Dr. Nir Kleinmann, MD, directs the Endourology and Kidney Stones Unit at Sheba Medical Center. He is an expert in minimally invasive urology and urologic oncology. His focus is the kidney and upper urinary tract. He was named among Israel’s Best Doctors for 2025–2026 by Forbes and ResultMed.

He is an expert in advanced radiation therapy and radiosurgery. He performs stereotactic radiosurgery for brain tumors. He leads Sheba’s GI Cancer Program in gastrointestinal oncology. He also provides precision care for lung and prostate cancers. He pioneered celiac plexus radiosurgery for severe pain from pancreatic cancer.

Dr. Emad Shash, M.B.B.Ch, MSc, M.D., is a medical oncologist. He is the Medical Director of the Breast Comprehensive Cancer Hospital at NCI. He leads the Medical Oncology Department and is the Breast Program Director at Shifaa Al Orman Cancer Hospital in Luxor. Dr. Mariam Mohammed Hussein Abu Zeid is a clinical oncologist. She treats solid tumors and hematologic cancers. She earned her MBBCh from Ain Shams University in 2007 (Excellent).
