Le professeur Santoro est fortement impliqué dans la recherche, avec un intérêt pour de nombreux sujets, tels que le développement de nouveaux médicaments contre le cancer et de nouvelles thérapies biologiques, l'intérêt pour les tumeurs solides et hématologiques, et il traite non seulement des survivants du cancer mais aussi des patients présentant des comorbidités.

Il travaille à l’hôpital de recherche Humanitas depuis 22 ans. Les recherches postuniversitaires du professeur Santoro ont été menées à l'Unité de Développement Thérapeutique (Institut de Cancerologie et d'Immunogénétique, Villejuif de Paris) de 1974 à 1975, et à la Division d'Oncologie Médicale de l'Institut National du Cancer de Milan de 1976 à 1977.

En 1977, il se spécialise en hématologie clinique et de laboratoire à l'Université de Rome. En 1979, il a terminé ses études de troisième cycle au Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center de New York et plus tard à l'Université de Stanford. En 1980, il se spécialise en oncologie à l'Université de Gênes.

Activité d'enseignement actuelle : Le professeur Santoro a travaillé comme professeur contractuel à l'École de spécialisation en pathologie clinique de l'Université de Pavie de 1992 à 1997. De 1993 à 2002, il a également été président du Groupe des tumeurs rares. Il est aujourd’hui professeur titulaire à l’Université Humanitas.

Postes actuels :

• Depuis 1997, il est directeur du département d'oncologie médicale et d'hématologie de l'Istituto Clinico Humanitas de Milan. Il est également membre du comité d'éthique de l'Istituto Clinico Humanitas et directeur de la recherche clinique du même institut depuis 2007.
• - Depuis 2008, il est membre du Comité de Planification, Ministère du Travail et de la Santé et de la Politique Sociale, Rome, Italie.

Spécialiste en nutrition et diététique 

Ezgi Sevic est diplômée de l'Université Hacettepe, département de nutrition et diététique, en tant qu'étudiante d'honneur. Pendant ses études, elle a mené des études sur "l'effet du comportement alimentaire hédonique sur l'obésité", "la nutrition parentérale totale chez les enfants" et "la relation entre la résistance à l'insuline et l'obésité". Pendant ses études, elle a participé sur le terrain à des études visant à déterminer l'état nutritionnel de la société. Elle a travaillé comme diététicienne interne dans les hôpitaux de l'université Hacettepe (hôpital d'oncologie, hôpital pour adultes, hôpital pour enfants İhsan Doğramacı), l'hôpital de formation et de recherche Dışkapı Yıldırım Beyazıt et de nombreux centres de santé communautaires. 
Elle a travaillé à l'hôpital privé Ekol d'Izmir. Elle a suivi avec succès le "cours de nutrition bariatrique" et le "cours sur les innovations en matière d'obésité". Elle a participé à de nombreux programmes de formation et séminaires dans son domaine.

Le professeur agrégé Dr Emrah Eraslan est diplômé de la faculté de médecine de l'université d'Ankara en 2005. De 2006 à 2011, il a travaillé comme assistant de recherche au département de médecine interne de la faculté de médecine de l'université d'Ankara et est devenu spécialiste en médecine interne en 2011. Entre 2011 et 2013, il a travaillé comme spécialiste en médecine interne et médecin-chef à l'hôpital d'État Dr Nafiz Körez Sincan et à l'hôpital d'État du district de Palu. Le professeur Michele Reni est un oncologue médical expérimenté avec plus de 30 ans de pratique en Italie. Il est spécialisé dans l'adénocarcinome pancréatique, les cancers gastro-œsophagiens et les tumeurs du système nerveux central. Il a publié plus de 180 articles sur le traitement du cancer et est le coordinateur des lignes directrices de l'Association italienne d'oncologie médicale (AIOM) pour le traitement et la gestion du cancer du pancréas. Il a également présidé de nombreux essais cliniques sur le traitement des patients atteints de cancer du pancréas métastatique.

Le Dr Thomas Carus est endocrinologue, gastro-entérologue et chirurgien à l'hôpital Asklepios de Barmbek. Il est un chirurgien très compétent en matière de plastie abdominale et un membre fondateur de l'International Endohernia Society (IHES). Il est titulaire d'un diplôme de médecine générale, d'un doctorat en médecine générale et en chirurgie et d'une spécialisation en chirurgie viscérale.
