Dr. Gokhan Bektasoglu is a cardiologist trained at the Faculties of Medicine of Hacettepe University and Cumhuriyet University. He has worked at Medicine Hospital (2014). He also served at Private European Dawn Hospital, Atrium Cardiology Center (2012–2014); Izmir Karşıyaka State Hospital (2011–2012); Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital (2011); and Uzunköprü State Hospital (2009–2011).
His clinical focus includes coronary and peripheral angiography with balloon and stent procedures. He performs carotid stenting, EVAR, and TEVAR. He is experienced in echocardiography and TEE. He manages device therapy (pacemaker, ICD, CRT) and arrhythmias. He treats heart failure. He performs ASD and VSD closure. He also offers valve therapies, including TAVI, mitral balloon valvuloplasty, and MitraClip. He has published in the American Journal of Cardiology, American Journal of Emergency Medicine, Journal of Thrombosis and Thrombolysis, European Journal of Echocardiography, Bratislava Medical Journal, and International Journal of Angiology. He has presented at international cardiology meetings.
