Widely recognized for her expertise in non-invasive cardiology and complex cardiac imaging, Prof. Dr. Aksu specializes in transthoracic echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), stress echocardiography, and real-time intra-procedural cardiac imaging for complex structural heart interventions.
Prof. Dr. Aksu earned her medical degree from the prestigious Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 2002 and completed her specialized cardiology residency at Dr. Siyami Ersek Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Training and Research Hospital—one of Turkey’s premier cardiovascular institutions. Throughout her career, she has served in senior clinical roles across major healthcare facilities, including Medicana Ataköy Hospital, Medical Park Bahçelievler Hospital, and Mehmet Akif Ersoy Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Training and Research Hospital.
Her comprehensive clinical scope includes the evaluation and management of heart valve diseases, heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, adult congenital heart disease, cardiovascular care in high-risk pregnancies, severe hypertension, and dyslipidemia.
