Prof. Dr. Süleyman Bülent Bektaşer est né à Kayseri en 1968. Il a obtenu son diplôme à la faculté de médecine de l'université Hacettepe en 1992. En 1997, il termine sa formation de spécialisation en orthopédie et traumatologie à l'hôpital d'urgence et de traumatologie Dr. Muhittin Ülker d'Ankara avec une thèse sur "les applications de l'arthroplastie totale du genou et les résultats précoces". Entre 1997 et 2000, il a travaillé comme médecin spécialiste à la clinique d'orthopédie et de traumatologie du même hôpital, et entre 2000 et 2004, il a occupé le poste de résident en chef dans le même hôpital. Entre 2004 et 2013, il a travaillé comme résident en chef à la clinique d'orthopédie et de traumatologie de l'hôpital de formation et de recherche Atatürk d'Ankara du ministère de la santé.
