Il est membre de plusieurs sociétés, s'est spécialisé dans les maladies dégénératives de la colonne vertébrale, la chirurgie oncologique de la colonne vertébrale et les techniques de non-fusion, et a effectué des stages en Allemagne, aux États-Unis et en République tchèque. Il a présenté 83 conférences au niveau national et international, écrit 11 chapitres dans des ouvrages professionnels et publié 56 articles dans des publications professionnelles.

Le service de chirurgie de la main de l'hôpital universitaire HM Montepríncipe est dirigé par le Dr Pedro J. Delgado et soutenu par les Dr Fernando Polo et Belén García Medrano, qui ont tous deux une grande expérience de la chirurgie de la main.
