Biographie professionnelle

Après avoir terminé son internat, il a travaillé comme médecin dans un camp de réfugiés (Kampala, Ouganda) sous l'égide du Mouvement mondial des jeunes pour l'Afrique (2007). Il est retourné à Hadassah, où il a travaillé dans le département d'orthopédie pendant sa résidence.

De 2013 à 2014, il a été chirurgien de la colonne à l'hôpital du Bronx (New York). Après être retourné en Israël, il travaille actuellement en tant que chirurgien de la colonne vertébrale au département d'orthopédie.

Il utilise activement des équipements robotiques et, avec l'équipe de médecins de la clinique, a effectué de nombreuses opérations complexes pour restaurer la structure de la colonne vertébrale.

Activité scientifique

A participé à diverses études cliniques en Californie, en Suisse et aux États-Unis. Enseigne à l'Université de Jérusalem et à l'Université Cornell Weill, est membre de l'Association des orthopédistes et du Congrès des vertébrologues (Milan). A reçu à plusieurs reprises des subventions pour la recherche dans le domaine de la vertébrologie. En 2017, il a reçu le titre de professeur associé. A un certain nombre d'articles publiés dans des revues scientifiques.

Dr. Nir Kleinmann, MD, directs the Endourology and Kidney Stones Unit at Sheba Medical Center. He is an expert in minimally invasive urology and urologic oncology. His focus is the kidney and upper urinary tract. He was named among Israel’s Best Doctors for 2025–2026 by Forbes and ResultMed.

He is a pioneer of kidney‑sparing laser surgery. He uses a dual‑laser system with neodymium and holmium for complex tumors. His expertise includes UTUC, kidney and prostate cancer, kidney stones, and BPH.

His research includes the OLYMPUS trial on chemoablation for UTUC. He has more than 60 publications.

He is an Israeli board‑certified urologist. He is a Fellow of the American Endourology Society and a member of the Israeli Urological Association and the EAU. He completed fellowships in Endourology and Minimally Invasive Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University. He also completed a fellowship in Kidney Cancer Research at McMaster University.

Dr. Yaacov Lawrence, MA, MBBS, MRCP, is Chair of Radiation Oncology at Sheba Medical Center. He has nearly 30 years of experience in precision radiation oncology and neuro-oncology.

He is an expert in advanced radiation therapy and radiosurgery. He performs stereotactic radiosurgery for brain tumors. He leads Sheba’s GI Cancer Program in gastrointestinal oncology. He also provides precision care for lung and prostate cancers. He pioneered celiac plexus radiosurgery for severe pain from pancreatic cancer.

Training and credentials: MA and MBBS (Cambridge and UCLH); MRCP (RCP); Radiation Oncology fellowship (Thomas Jefferson University). Honors include the ASCO Young Investigator Award and Fellow of ASTRO (FASTRO). He has authored over 280 publications. He is Director of the Center for Translational Radiation Oncology and an Associate Professor at Tel Aviv University.

Dr. Boaz Liberman, MD, is an orthopedic oncologist and sarcoma surgeon for adults and children. He directs the Orthopedic Oncology Unit and serves as Vice Head of Orthopedic Surgery at Sheba Medical Center. His focus is limb-sparing cancer surgery with functional reconstruction. He performs complex joint reconstruction, revision arthroplasty, MRgFUS, and reconstruction after bone metastases.

Education and training: MD, Tel Aviv University. Orthopedic surgery residency, Sheba Medical Center. Fellowships in Adult Reconstruction at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto, and in Orthopedic Oncology at Mount Sinai Hospital and Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. He is board-certified in Orthopedic Surgery and in Orthopedic Oncology Surgery. He is a Clinical Instructor at Tel Aviv University. Memberships include the Israel Medical Association, Israel Orthopedic Association, AATB, and EATB. He also serves on national advisory committees. His research covers bone and soft tissue sarcomas, serum markers, imaging-guided therapies, MRI arthrography, and the biomechanics of bone treated with MRgFUS.

Dr. Zohar Dotan is Head of the Urology Department at Sheba Medical Center. He is a leading uro-oncologist and a pioneer of robotic and laparoscopic urologic surgery in Israel.

He has authored more than 50 scientific publications. He is a regular speaker at international conferences. He has received awards from the American Association of Clinical Surgery, including recognition for research in prostate cancer treatment.
