Le Dr Uygur est un urologue international titulaire d'un diplôme en médecine et d'un diplôme en médecine de la faculté de médecine de l'université de Hacettepe, d'une bourse de recherche du laboratoire de transplantation de l'université d'Helsinki et d'une résidence en urologie de la faculté de médecine de l'université de Hacettepe. Il compte plus de 300 publications et présentations internationales et nationales, avec 781 citations scientifiques pour 41 articles. Il est membre à part entière de l'Association européenne d'urologie, membre correspondant de l'American Urological Association, membre de la Society of Urologic Oncology et membre du conseil d'administration de la Société turque d'urologie oncologique. Il a suivi des cours de chirurgie urologique robotique à l'hôpital universitaire Vanderbilt, à la clinique de Cleveland et à l'USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center. Il est professeur d'urologie et président de la faculté de médecine de l'Université du Proche-Orient, chef de l'urologie au centre médical Anadolu en affiliation avec Johns Hopkins Medicine et directeur des programmes d'uroncologie et de chirurgie robotique urologique au centre médical Anadolu. Il est également secrétaire scientifique des cours semestriels d'uroncologie d'Ankara et a organisé de nombreuses réunions nationales ou régionales d'urologie et d'uroncologie.

After the training he received in 2006 and 2007 at the “Laparoscopy, Robotics and Oncology Center” of Heildelberg University, Heilbronn SLK Hospital, Germany, he continues to serve his patients in Turkey, especially in the field of Laparoscopic/Robotic Surgery. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cenk Acar completed his medical education at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine and his urology residency at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Urology. He worked as an assistant professor at Pamukkale University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Urology between June 2009 and November 2012. Between May 2012 and November 2012, he worked as a fellow in robotic and laparoscopic surgery in urologic cancers for 6 months in the Urology Department of “The Netherland Cancer Institute-AVL hospital”. He started to work at Acıbadem Ankara Hospital in November 2012. In September 2014, he completed the necessary academic qualifications and received the title of “Associate Professor”. After working in a private hospital in Ankara between 2015-2020, he continued his services in his private practice in Ankara until 2020 when he started Hisar Intercontinental Hospital.

In 2015, he was the chairman of the organizing committee of the first course on ‘Fluorescence Imaging in Urological Surgery’ in the field of urology in Turkey. In the following years, he chaired many urology and multidisciplinary courses on ICG fluorescence imaging under the umbrella of Urology Associations. In 2017, for the first time in Turkey, he started to apply Bipolar Prostate Enucleation in benign prostate enlargement in his clinic. Later, he started to use his increasing experience in surgeries such as HOLEP and THUFLEP.

In his career, Dr. Acar, who is especially interested in Urological Cancers, Urinary System Stones, HOLEP, THUFLEP, Endourology, and Robotic and Laparoscopic Urological Surgeries, has carried out many successful operations. He has performed over 500 urological cancer surgeries, over 250 HOLEP surgeries, countless endoscopic stone surgeries, and numerous robotic and laparoscopic surgeries.
