Assoc. Prof. Gorkem Turkkan started his medical education at Gülhane Military Medical Academy in 2003 and completed it at Zonguldak Karaelmas (Bülent Ecevit) University Faculty of Medicine in 2009. He completed his specialization at Trakya University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Radiation Oncology and became a radiation oncology specialist in 2016.

After completing his compulsory service, he served as a Lecturer and Head of Department at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Radiation Oncology, from May 2019 to February 2021. Meanwhile, between March and June 2020, he worked as a clinical researcher at Maastricht University Faculty of Medicine Department of Radiation Oncology – MAASTRO Clinic (Netherlands) on stereotactic radiotherapy, thoracic radiotherapy-related lung toxicity and proton therapy. While he was working at İstinye University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Radiation Oncology and Liv Hospital Ulus Radiation Oncology Clinic between March 2021 and April 2023, he received the title of Associate Professor in February 2023. She has been serving her patients at Hisar Hospital Intercontinental since May 2023.

He has performed both traditional radiotherapy and advanced radiotherapy throughout his career. He is one of the experienced physicians in our country in stereotactic radiotherapy and MRI-guided radiotherapy treatments, which have become increasingly popular and used especially recently. So far, he has successfully completed more than 2500 radiotherapy sessions with the MR-Linac device.

He has been a member of the Turkish Society of Radiation Oncology (TROD) since 2013 and the European Society of Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) since 2015. He has 27 articles published in domestic and international journals, 31 oral-poster presentations presented at national and international congresses, and 5 book chapters published by national and international publishing houses. He taught Term I and Term V undergraduate courses at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Faculty of Medicine, postgraduate courses within the scope of Ear Nose and Throat Department Specialization training, and Radiotherapy associate degree courses at İstinye University Vocational School of Health Services. She is currently working on 2 ongoing TÜBİTAK Projects. He is married and has a son.

Le professeur Santoro est fortement impliqué dans la recherche, avec un intérêt pour de nombreux sujets, tels que le développement de nouveaux médicaments contre le cancer et de nouvelles thérapies biologiques, l'intérêt pour les tumeurs solides et hématologiques, et il traite non seulement des survivants du cancer mais aussi des patients présentant des comorbidités.

Il travaille à l’hôpital de recherche Humanitas depuis 22 ans. Les recherches postuniversitaires du professeur Santoro ont été menées à l'Unité de Développement Thérapeutique (Institut de Cancerologie et d'Immunogénétique, Villejuif de Paris) de 1974 à 1975, et à la Division d'Oncologie Médicale de l'Institut National du Cancer de Milan de 1976 à 1977.

En 1977, il se spécialise en hématologie clinique et de laboratoire à l'Université de Rome. En 1979, il a terminé ses études de troisième cycle au Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center de New York et plus tard à l'Université de Stanford. En 1980, il se spécialise en oncologie à l'Université de Gênes.

Activité d'enseignement actuelle : Le professeur Santoro a travaillé comme professeur contractuel à l'École de spécialisation en pathologie clinique de l'Université de Pavie de 1992 à 1997. De 1993 à 2002, il a également été président du Groupe des tumeurs rares. Il est aujourd’hui professeur titulaire à l’Université Humanitas.

Postes actuels :

• Depuis 1997, il est directeur du département d'oncologie médicale et d'hématologie de l'Istituto Clinico Humanitas de Milan. Il est également membre du comité d'éthique de l'Istituto Clinico Humanitas et directeur de la recherche clinique du même institut depuis 2007.

Le professeur agrégé Dr Emrah Eraslan est diplômé de la faculté de médecine de l'université d'Ankara en 2005. De 2006 à 2011, il a travaillé comme assistant de recherche au département de médecine interne de la faculté de médecine de l'université d'Ankara et est devenu spécialiste en médecine interne en 2011. Entre 2011 et 2013, il a travaillé comme spécialiste en médecine interne et médecin-chef à l'hôpital d'État Dr Nafiz Körez Sincan et à l'hôpital d'État du district de Palu. De 2013 à 2016, il a suivi une formation en oncologie médicale à l'hôpital d'enseignement et de recherche en oncologie Dr Abdurrahman Yurtaslan d'Ankara et y a travaillé jusqu'en 2021. En 2023, il devient professeur agrégé et a contribué à son domaine avec ses publications tout au long de sa carrière. Il sert actuellement ses patients à l'hôpital Koru Ankara. • 1989 - obtient son diplôme de médecine à l'Université hébraïque;
• 1995 - effectue son internat en médecine interne et gastroentérologie à l'hôpital universitaire Hadassah.
• 2001 - 2002 - formation auprès du professeur Scott Friedman dans le département des maladies du foie à la Sinai School of Medicine de New York.

Aujourd'hui, le professeur Rifaat Safadi est un éminent spécialiste du traitement des maladies du foie, membre du comité de développement du centre de transplantation de cellules somatiques et chef de l'unité des maladies du foie à Hadassah. Il est membre de plusieurs associations internationales sur le foie et a rédigé de nombreux articles dans sa spécialité. Le professeur Safadi fait partie du comité de rédaction de la revue médicale scientifique Clinical Science.

Rifaat Safadi a reçu de nombreux prix scientifiques. Il a notamment reçu plusieurs fois le prix Hadassah - pour son étude de la modulation immunitaire de la fibrose hépatique par l'ARNm. Pour ses réalisations dans le même domaine, le professeur a reçu le prix Sharon Donsky et l'Association israélienne de gastroentérologie et d'hépatologie.
