Le Prof. Dr. Teraporn Vutyavanich est spécialisé en obstétrique et gynécologie, en médecine de la reproduction assistée et en endocrinologie. Il est reconnu comme le père de la médecine de la reproduction assistée en Thaïlande et le premier spécialiste du pays dans ce domaine. Il est l'auteur de plus de 100 publications. Il a présidé la Société thaïlandaise de médecine de la reproduction de 2005 à 2010 et de 2015 à aujourd'hui.
Il est professeur à l'Université de Chiang Mai. Il occupe également les fonctions de directeur du Centre de reproduction de l'Université de Chiang Mai et de directeur médical de la polyclinique de FIV de Chiang Mai. Il est titulaire d'un doctorat en médecine (avec mention) de l'Université Mahidol. Il est certifié par le Conseil thaïlandais d'obstétrique et de gynécologie et par le Conseil thaïlandais des sous-spécialités en médecine de la reproduction. Il a obtenu un master en sciences médicales à l'Université de Nottingham et un master en conception de recherche à l'Université McMaster. Il a effectué des stages en endocrinologie de la reproduction au New York Hospital–Cornell et à la Mayo Clinic dans le cadre de la bourse Ananda Mahidol. Il est embryologiste senior certifié par l'ESHRE.
