Dr. Halil Tuğtepe is a Professor of Pediatric Surgery focused on pediatric urology. He graduated from the English program of the Marmara University Faculty of Medicine (1985–1992). He completed his pediatric surgery residency at Marmara University (1994–2000).
At Marmara University, he served as Assistant Professor (2002–2008), Associate Professor (2008–2014), and Professor (2014–2019) in the Division of Pediatric Urology. Since 2019, he has been a Professor at Istanbul Bilim University. He also leads Tuğtepe Pediatric Urology and Surgery.
His advanced training includes a scholarship year at Great Ormond Street Hospital in pediatric urology and kidney transplant (2008–2009). He also trained at the Utrecht Urotherapy Unit (2015), Nottingham (1998), the Royal Hospital in Liverpool (1992), and at Semmelweis University and in Belgrade (1991).
