Il est né à Giresun-Espiye en 1961. Il a fait ses études primaires et secondaires à Espiye et Trabzon. Il a commencé sa formation médicale à l'Université Hacettepe, Faculté de médecine de Trabzon en 1978 et est diplômé de la Faculté de médecine de l'Université technique de Karadeniz en 1985. Il a effectué son service public obligatoire de 2 ans en tant que médecin urgentiste au service d'urgence de l'hôpital d'État de Çanakkale. En 1987, il a commencé sa formation de spécialisation à l'Université d'Istanbul, Faculté de médecine Cerrahpaşa, Département de chirurgie thoracique et cardiovasculaire. Il a complété ma formation de spécialisation en 1993 et a commencé à travailler comme spécialiste dans le même département. Poursuivant sa vie professionnelle et académique à la Faculté de Médecine Cerrahpaşa, Département de Chirurgie Cardiovasculaire, il devient professeur et préside la chaire.
Pendant et après sa formation de spécialisation, il a été recruté dans divers hôpitaux de nombreux pays à des fins de formation et de développement professionnels. En plus de divers domaines de la chirurgie cardiovasculaire, il a travaillé pendant de nombreuses années dans les domaines de la traumatologie cardiovasculaire, de la chirurgie cardiovasculaire multi- et interdisciplinaire, de la chirurgie endoscopique vidéo-thoracoscopique et de la chirurgie thoracique.
En plus de ses études professionnelles académiques et chirurgicales, il est titulaire d'une maîtrise dans le domaine de la « Gestion des établissements de santé » et a également occupé des postes de direction tels que chef du département de chirurgie cardiovasculaire à la faculté de médecine de Cerrahpaşa, médecin-chef adjoint de l'université d'Istanbul, Gestion de fonds.
Il s'intéresse en amateur aux sciences sociales en médecine et à cette phrase « Humanités médicales » et « Illustration médicale ».
Il a plus de 200 articles publiés dans des revues nationales et internationales, plus de 200 citations scientifiques internationales, divers chapitres de livres sur différents sujets, plus de 150 études scientifiques et discours présentés lors de diverses rencontres nationales et internationales.

Dr. Cagdas Erdogan is a gastroenterologist at Ankara Etlik City Hospital. He trained in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He earned his MD from Dokuz Eylul University. He completed his Internal Medicine residency from 2014 to 2019. He then completed a Gastroenterology fellowship at Ankara City Hospital from 2019 to 2022. His clinical focus includes advanced endoscopy (ERCP, EUS, EMR, ESD, POEM, EGD, colonoscopy, double-balloon enteroscopy), inflammatory bowel disease, and hepatology.
He has about 40 publications. His work appears in The Turkish Journal of Gastroenterology, Scientific Reports, Endoscopy, and Digestive Diseases and Sciences. Notable studies address vedolizumab in IBD and prophylaxis for post-ERCP pancreatitis. He also reported a 13-year Crohn’s cohort comparing infliximab and adalimumab. Additional work covers outcomes with an adalimumab biosimilar and innovative endoscopic therapies (MCA via double-balloon enteroscopy, holmium laser for Bouveret syndrome, POEM for Zenker’s diverticulum, and ESD for esophageal papillomatosis).
Wissarut Sakulpaptong, M.D., is a board-certified cardiologist and a cardiology staff member at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital. He specializes in advanced echocardiography. His work includes transthoracic and transesophageal studies, strain analysis, 3D and stress echocardiography, and imaging for congenital heart disease. He also holds an M.Sc. (Medicine) from Chulalongkorn University.
His leadership roles include Chief Fellow (2024) and Chief Resident (2022). Dr. Ertuğrul Ercan is a Professor of Cardiology. He completed his training at Ege University and Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University. His main areas of expertise are interventional cardiology, atherosclerosis, valve diseases, and coronary artery disease. He also focuses on inflammation and coagulation, cardiovascular immunology, and stem cell therapy.
Dr. Ercan has held key academic and administrative positions. He served as Head of Cardiology and Dean at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University. He was also the Medical Director at İzmir Medical Point Hospital. He gained international experience at the Cleveland Clinic and in Melbourne, Australia.

Dr. Mustafa Dogdus is a cardiologist who graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine. He has broad experience in treating complex heart conditions. His expertise includes arrhythmias, atrial septal defect (ASD), atrial fibrillation, AVRT, AVNRT, bradycardia, heart failure, coronary artery disease, and structural heart diseases.
He is skilled in advanced interventional procedures. These include ASD, PDA, and VSD closure, EPS-ablation, ICD-CRT-D implantation, and percutaneous coronary and peripheral interventions. Dr. Dogdus worked at Karaman State Hospital and Uşak University Training and Research Hospital cardiology clinics from 2017 to 2022.
He is an active member of the Turkish Society of Cardiology, the European Society of Cardiology, and the Cardiovascular Academy. He also holds board and working group positions in several national and international cardiology organizations.
Dr. Humayun Kakar is a cardiologist. He earned his medical degree from Eskişehir Osmangazi University between 2007 and 2014. He completed his cardiology residency at İzmir Dokuz Eylül University from 2015 to 2020. In 2024, he received advanced training in heart failure at the University of Zurich in Switzerland.

He graduated from the Medical University of Vienna and specializes in cardiac surgery. He has also trained internationally at Stanford, Birmingham, Houston, and Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.
