Assoc. Prof. Priv.-Doz. Dr. Gerald Prager is a Vienna-based specialist in hematology and internal oncology with about 17 to 19 years of experience. He graduated from the Medical University of Vienna. From 2006 to 2011, he completed his residency and fellowship in hematology and oncology there. In 2011, he was a Visiting Professor at the Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center (USC). In 2012, he became an Associate Professor at MedUni Vienna.

He leads the Precision Medicine in Cancer Unit. His work focuses on colorectal cancer, precision oncology, tumor angiogenesis, and predictive biomarker assessment. He is a permanent reviewer for leading journals, including Blood and the European Journal of Clinical Investigation.

Dr. Fritz Leutmezer is a neurologist at Vienna General Hospital (AKH). He specializes in multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, movement disorders, tremors, memory problems, and stroke prevention. He uses advanced therapies and offers acupuncture for trigeminal neuralgia, headaches, and facial nerve palsy.

Dr. Philipp Riss is the Team Leader in Surgical Endocrinology at the Medical University of Vienna. He specializes in general and visceral surgery. Dr. Riss earned his Doctorate in Medicine in 2005. He is a Senior Physician and a University Professor. He leads the Surgical Endocrinology Working Group. Dr. Riss has also organized several major international congresses.

He has received the Venia Docendi Award and the Sandoz Award for Thyroid Research. Dr. Riss is a member of leading societies, such as the European Society of Endocrine Surgeons and the International Society of Surgery. He also serves on advisory boards for neuroendocrine and endocrine surgery in Austria.

Dr. Josef Grohs is an experienced orthopedist who specializes in spine surgery. He has over 30 years of clinical practice. He received his medical degree from the University of Vienna in 1986. He also completed advanced training in clinical examination, manual medicine, and clinical monitoring. Dr. Grohs holds a habilitation in orthopedics and has been a certified orthopedic surgeon since 1998.

He is the Chair of AO-Spine Austria and serves on the Advisory Board of the Austrian Spine Society. He was President of the society from 2009 to 2011. Dr. Walter Klepetko is a Professor and Head of the Division of Thoracic Surgery at MedUni Vienna and Vienna General Hospital. He is an expert in thoracic surgery, lung transplantation, surgery for bronchial carcinoma, and pulmonary hypertension.

He founded one of the world’s largest lung transplant programs. His team performs over 100 lung transplants each year. In 2018, Dr. Klepetko led the team that performed Niki Lauda’s lung transplant. He is a former president of the European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery. He also serves on the board of the American Association for Thoracic Surgery.

Dr. Klepetko has received the Grand Decoration of Honor for services to the Austrian Republic. He was also awarded the City of Vienna Prize for Medical Sciences for his medical and scientific contributions.

Dr. Stefan Sacu is an experienced ophthalmologist. He specializes in cataract and retinal surgery, as well as diseases of the macula and retina. Since 1999, he has worked at the Department of Ophthalmology at the Medical University of Vienna. He is known for his research on new treatments for exudative macular diseases and genetic therapies for retinal disorders.
