• Depuis novembre 2002, il a été élu au poste vacant d'assistant au Département d'oncologie de l'Université nationale de médecine OO Bogomolets.
• En 2005, il a soutenu sa thèse « L'utilisation de l'autovaccin antitumoral dans le traitement complexe des patientes atteintes d'un cancer du sein » avec l'attribution du diplôme scientifique de candidat en sciences médicales.

Il est chef du groupe de génomique translationnelle et de thérapeutique ciblée dans les tumeurs solides à l'Institut de recherche biomédicale August Pi i Sunyer, président du conseil d'administration de SOLTI et membre du comité exécutif de The Breast International Group. Il a publié 160 articles avec 13 479 citations. Il est professeur titulaire à l'université de Barcelone et directeur du master en pathologie mammaire et sénologie.

Le professeur Bella Kaufman est une éminente spécialiste du traitement du cancer du sein, en particulier de la radiothérapie clinique et de l'ISCORT. Elle a publié de nombreux articles dans 25 revues médicales du monde entier et a été récompensée par l'organisation américaine ASCO. Elle est membre de la Société israélienne d'oncologie clinique et de radiothérapie ISCORT et secrétaire de l'organisation israélienne de traitement du cancer du sein. Elle est diplômée de l'Université hébraïque de Jérusalem et a suivi sa formation à l'hôpital Hadassah qui lui est affilié.
