Le professeur Gerhard Prager est un spécialiste de la chirurgie bariatrique très expérimenté qui a réalisé plus de 3 000 opérations pour le traitement de l'obésité. Dr. Martin Zehetmayer is an experienced ophthalmic surgeon. He earned his doctorate from the University of Vienna and holds specialist accreditation in ophthalmology and optometry. Since 1999, he has served as Senior Physician and Head of the Eye Clinic. He has led progress in eye tumor treatment, especially using stereotactic radiation therapy for malignant choroid tumors.
Dr. Zehetmayer has published about 100 scientific papers. His research covers ophthalmic oncology, corneal collagen structures, new methods of cataract anesthesia, intraocular lenses, and pediatric strabismus. He is active in several national and international ophthalmological societies and has held leadership roles. His work has made a strong impact in the field.
Professor Michael Georgopoulos is a Senior Consultant in Vitreoretinal Surgery at the Medical University of Vienna. He specializes in surgical diseases of the macula, retina, and vitreous body. He is known for advanced procedures such as macular opening, macular fold correction, vitreomacular traction syndrome, and retinal detachment surgeries. He also performs combined cataract and retinal surgeries. In addition, he manages cases of vitreous hemorrhage and opacification.
Dr. Georgopoulos is recognized for introducing seamless 23-gauge transconjunctival vitrectomy. He also pioneered additive anti-VEGF therapy and the use of high-resolution 3D optical coherence tomography (HR-OCT) for pre- and postoperative assessment. He leads clinical research on postoperative cortisone therapy, comparison of surgical techniques, drug therapy for the vitreous body, and cytokine analysis in retinal diseases.
Dr. Irene Marthe Lang is a cardiologist and professor at the Medical University of Vienna. She specializes in vascular surgery. Dr. Lang introduced a new method for widening narrowed pulmonary vessels in Austria. She also leads research teams in cardiopulmonary medicine and vascular interventions.
Dr. Lang is an expert in pulmonary arterial hypertension, vascular resistance, and hemodynamics. She received an honorary order for her service to the Republic of Austria. Her work has advanced research in vascular biology and myocardial regeneration.
Dr. Wolfgang Gstoettner is a leading ENT specialist and head of the University Hospital for ENT Diseases at the Medical University of Vienna. He is known for major achievements in his field. He performed Austria’s first laser partial larynx resection in 1995. He also carried out the country’s first active middle ear implant in 1998 and the first auditory brain stem implant in 2012.
Dr. Gstoettner has held top academic and clinical roles. He served as Executive Director at Frankfurt’s ENT clinic and was President of the Austrian Society of Otorhinolaryngology. Professor Marek Ehrlich is a cardiac surgeon at University Hospital Vienna. He has led the hospital’s aneurysm program since 2010. He graduated from the Medical University of Vienna and specializes in cardiac surgery. He has also trained internationally at Stanford, Birmingham, Houston, and Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.
Dr. Ehrlich has published over 100 scientific articles on aneurysm surgery. He has led research in neuroprotection and endovascular techniques. He has received several international awards for his work. Dr. Ehrlich often speaks at major global conferences. He is fluent in English and Polish.
