This design incorporates a dual articulation mechanism, which increases the range of motion and significantly reduces the risk of dislocation—one of the most common complications after hip replacement, particularly in revision surgeries. Clinical studies have shown that dual mobility systems are associated with notably lower dislocation rates compared to conventional designs, with some series reporting rates as low as around 1% and overall strong implant survival.

Dr. Kayhan Turan is an experienced orthopedic surgeon. He specializes in orthopedics and traumatology. He earned his medical degree from Istanbul University Çapa Medical Faculty. He then completed advanced training at Uludağ University Medical Faculty. Dr. Turan also gained experience through an externship in Orthopedic Surgery at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago.
He is a member of several respected organizations. These include the Turkish Medical Association (TTB), American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA), International Congress for Joint Reconstruction (ICJR), and Turkish Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (TOTBID). Dr. Turan is known for his work in joint reconstruction and arthroscopic surgery. He holds international accreditations and has a strong record of clinical excellence.
