Neck band removal (Platysmaplasty) is a procedure designed to address visible sagging muscle or vertical neck bands caused by sagging or weakened under chin muscles.
Through a small incision of approximately 1–3 cm, excess preplatysmal fat is carefully removed. The underlying platysma muscle is then tightened and sutured, helping to bind and reposition the sagging muscle.
This process smooths the vertical neck bands and improves overall neck contour, creating a firmer and more youthful neck appearance.
