Il est né à Giresun-Espiye en 1961. Il a fait ses études primaires et secondaires à Espiye et Trabzon. Il a commencé sa formation médicale à l'Université Hacettepe, Faculté de médecine de Trabzon en 1978 et est diplômé de la Faculté de médecine de l'Université technique de Karadeniz en 1985. Il a effectué son service public obligatoire de 2 ans en tant que médecin urgentiste au service d'urgence de l'hôpital d'État de Çanakkale. En 1987, il a commencé sa formation de spécialisation à l'Université d'Istanbul, Faculté de médecine Cerrahpaşa, Département de chirurgie thoracique et cardiovasculaire. Il a complété ma formation de spécialisation en 1993 et a commencé à travailler comme spécialiste dans le même département. Poursuivant sa vie professionnelle et académique à la Faculté de Médecine Cerrahpaşa, Département de Chirurgie Cardiovasculaire, il devient professeur et préside la chaire.

En plus de divers domaines de la chirurgie cardiovasculaire, il a travaillé pendant de nombreuses années dans les domaines de la traumatologie cardiovasculaire, de la chirurgie cardiovasculaire multi- et interdisciplinaire, de la chirurgie endoscopique vidéo-thoracoscopique et de la chirurgie thoracique.

En plus de ses études professionnelles académiques et chirurgicales, il est titulaire d'une maîtrise dans le domaine de la « Gestion des établissements de santé » et a également occupé des postes de direction tels que chef du département de chirurgie cardiovasculaire à la faculté de médecine de Cerrahpaşa, médecin-chef adjoint de l'université d'Istanbul, Gestion de fonds.

Le professeur Dr. Yasef a commencé ses études de médecine à l'Université d'Istanbul en 1973 et a obtenu son diplôme de la Faculté de médecine Cerrahpaşa de l'Université d'Istanbul en 1979. Il a commencé sa spécialisation en neurologie dans la même université en 1980 et est devenu neurologue en 1985. Cardiovascular Surgery Residency 

Dr. Vilius Kontenis is a gastroenterologist and endoscopist. He trained at Vilnius University and earned his MD in 2014. He completed his gastroenterology residency in 2018. Since then, he has worked at Mažeikiai Hospital as a gastroenterologist and endoscopist. He also practices at Kardiolita Clinics in Vilnius as a gastroenterologist.

His work includes a systematic review and meta-analysis on inflammatory bowel disease. He has studied liver fibrosis, comparing FibroScan with routine tests. He has also published on dysphagia in older adults, pediatric diarrhea, and food allergy. He has presented on chylous ascites and catastrophic antiphospholipid syndrome. He edited issue No. 1 of Gastroenterologija. He attended the 35th GEEW in 2017. He is a member of the Lithuanian Gastroenterology Association and the World Gastroenterology Organisation.

Dr. Tomas Jucaitis is a gastroenterologist and endoscopist. He studied at Kaunas University of Medicine from 1991 to 1998 and graduated in 1998. He completed a primary residency at Ukmergė Hospital in 1999 (1998–1999). He then finished an internal medicine residency at Vilnius University (1999–2001). He later completed a gastroenterology residency (2001–2003). His training also includes internships in the Czech Republic, Germany, and the USA.

He was Coordinator at the National Organ Transplantation Bureau from 2001 to 2004. He worked as an endoscopist and ultrasound specialist at Vilnius Emergency University Hospital from 2003 to 2006. Dr. Laura Masalaite is a gastroenterologist and endoscopist at VUL Santaros Clinics and Kardiolita Clinics. She became Acting Head of the Organ Transplantation Coordination Centre in 2024. From 2007 to 2024, she served as Senior Specialist. She has been an Associate Professor at Vilnius University since 2024.

She completed a PhD in Medicine in 2014 (2010–2014). She finished a gastroenterology residency in 2010 (2006–2010). She is a licensed gastroenterologist (MPL15909; 2010-06-30). Her advanced training includes liver transplantation in Vienna (2023–2024) and Warsaw (2010). She also trained in endoscopy and ultrasound in Wuppertal and completed UEG courses. Dr. Nuri Delikara is an obstetrics and gynecology specialist at Kadıköy Florence Nightingale Hospital (2011–present). He focuses on assisted reproductive therapy.

He was an assisted reproductive therapy specialist at Ferticenter Istanbul IVF Center (2005–2011).
