Dr. Antonia Artigues-Barcelo is an Internal Medicine Consultant with more than 20 years of experience in the field of Internal Medicine.

After completing her Medical Degree from Universitat Autonoma in Barcelona, Spain, she acquired her Specialisation in Internal Medicine from Hospital Universitari Son Dureta and Hospital Clinic in Barcelona, both in Spain. She has extensive experience in Internal Medicine in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Before moving to the UAE, she was practicing in both private and government Hospitals in Spain, where she implemented different projects, including Autoimmune Systemic Diseases Unit, Palliative Care Unit, and a multidisciplinary management program of hip fractures in older patients. She was also the HOD in Internal Medicine Department.

Since she moved to the UAE, she has been working as an Internal Medicine Consultant in well-known Clinics and Hospitals in Dubai. She has also been an Adjunct Associated Professor at Mohammed Bin Rashid University (MBRU).

Her scope of expertise includes general internal medicine conditions, gastrointestinal disorders, respiratory diseases, anaemias, thyroid conditions, as well as, infection diseases, autoimmune systemic conditions and prevention, detection, and treatment of cardiovascular risk factors, such as hypertension, diabetes, or dyslipidaemia. Le Dr. est chef d'équipe en endocrinologie chirurgicale à l'Université médicale de Vienne et spécialiste en chirurgie générale et viscérale. Il est titulaire d'un doctorat en médecine obtenu en 2005 et a occupé depuis lors divers postes, notamment ceux de professeur assistant, d'assistant de médecin, de professeur d'université, de médecin principal et de chef du groupe de travail sur l'endocrinologie chirurgicale. Il est membre de plusieurs sociétés et a reçu le Venia Docendi Award et le Sandoz Award for Thyroid Research.

Le Dr. est titulaire d'un diplôme de médecine de la faculté de médecine de l'université d'Uludağ, Bursa, Turquie (1983), d'une bourse post-doctorale en thermoradiothérapie de l'université Thomas Jefferson, Philadelphie, Pennsylvanie (1990-1994), et d'une résidence en radio-oncologie du Centre d'oncologie et de médecine nucléaire d'Istanbul, Turquie (1990). Il a également occupé les postes de professeur, président et coordinateur de l'accréditation de la faculté au Collège médical de l'Université Uludağ (1991-2005), professeur et directeur au Centre médical Anadolu (2004-2017), et directeur à l'Hôpital international Ceylan et à l'Hôpital Medicana Bursa (2017-aujourd'hui).

Radio-oncologue agréé avec 8 ans de formation médicale, y compris des études de premier cycle à la Faculté de médecine de l'Université de Marmara (2004-2011) et une formation de spécialisation en radio-oncologie à la Faculté de médecine de l'Université de Marmara (2012-2016). Le Dr Raj est un oncologue chirurgical très expérimenté avec 19 ans d'expérience et plus de 50 000 chirurgies cancéreuses réalisées. Il participe à de nombreux essais cliniques et compte à son actif de nombreuses publications internationales et nationales. Il se spécialise en oncologie chirurgicale mammaire et thoracique et est professeur d'oncologie chirurgicale superspécialisée DNB et de chirurgie mammaire à l'Université des sciences de la santé du Maharashtra. Sa conviction est qu'il faut « ajouter de la vie aux années » et améliorer la qualité de la vie, et pas seulement ajouter des années à la vie.
