Dr. Ramazan Gökhan Atış, born in Istanbul in 1978, graduated from Cağaloğlu Anatolian High School in 1996. He completed his medical education at Çapa Faculty of Medicine in 2002. Between 2002 and 2008, he received his specialization training at the Istanbul Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital Department of Urology, and obtained the title of Urology Specialist in February 2008. After working at Edremit Military Hospital between 2008 and 2009, he started working as a Urology specialist at Istanbul Göztepe Training and Research Hospital in 2009. In 2011, he underwent a 3-month Laparoscopy-Robotic Urology training at Heidelberg University Heillbronn Clinic. Between 2009 and 2014, he conducted numerous scientific research studies, especially in the field of endourology, and obtained the title of Associate Professor in September 2014. In 2017, he was elected as a board member of the Endourology Society and has been serving in this position since then. Since 2018, he has been actively involved in the Endourology working group of the European Association of Urology, Young Academic Urologists (EAU-YAU) Committee for a period of 2 years. In January 2021, he was appointed as a Professor at the Istanbul Medeniyet University Department of Urology.After that started working at Şişli Memorial Hospital in 2022. Prof. Dr. Ramazan Gökhan Atış, has more than 100 articles published in national and international journals.

Dr. Amit Kumar is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon and completed his General Surgery residency at the prestigious University of Rochester, Rochester, New York. He then pursued his Vascular Surgery fellowship at the top ranked cardiovascular centre in the United States, The Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio.

He is American Board of Surgery certified in addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons as well as a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, USA. His clinical interests include mainly endovascular and open treatments of diabetic feet, carotid disease, aortic pathology specifically in dissections and aneurysms involving the thoracic and abdominal aorta as well as venous disease and wound care. In addition, he has a large experience in endovascular treatment of below knee occlusive disease for diabetic feet. Dr. Kumar has performed several firsts in vascular surgery in the middle-east as part of the more than 1,000 vascular/endovascular procedures he has done over the last 4 years. These include, the first successful atherectomy in the middle-east as well the first use of a drug eluting peripheral stent. His research interests pertain to both basic science and clinical aspects. He has recently published the first multicentre vascular study in the Middle East, The ABC in PVD study. Previously he has received a grant for Robotic Surgery which he pursued at East Carolina University, North Carolina, USA.

He is a member of the Residents and Associates Society of the American College of Surgeons, as a part of his interest and commitment to resident education and training. For his efforts he has received the Resident’s Teaching Award while at the University of Rochester. His administrative interests have included invited participation on various committees for the Abu Dhabi Health Services (SEHA) as well as the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi (HAAD), in addition to being the lead surgeon for deployment of electronic order entry (Cerner) at SKMC. He has previously worked as Assistant Professor – Surgery, Columbia University, New York, but is now running the largest vascular practice across the MENA and Africa region.

Le professeur Efrem Civilini est président de l'Université Humanitas et directeur de l'unité de chirurgie vasculaire de l'hôpital de recherche Humanitas.

Il a obtenu son diplôme de médecine de l'Université de Milan, en Italie, et est certifié en chirurgie vasculaire à l'Université de Sienne, en Italie. Il a effectué son internat et sa résidence en chirurgie vasculaire à l'Institut scientifique San Raffaele de Milan (Italie) où il a complété sa formation avec des bourses cliniques et de recherche sous la direction de son mentor, le professeur Roberto Chiesa.

En tant que chirurgien traitant, puis chef de la chirurgie de l'aorte thoracique au service cardiovasculaire de San Raffaele, il a exercé ses compétences chirurgicales au sein d'une équipe de renommée internationale traitant les anévrismes thoraco-abdominaux, puis a étudié la chirurgie aortique mini-invasive à la Cleveland Clinic (OH). Après une expérience d'environ 15.000 chirurgies vasculaires, en 2015 il est nommé chez Humanitas à la tête d'une équipe relativement jeune : le département de Chirurgie Vasculaire I. Ce département propose des traitements complets pour tous les types de troubles vasculaires, y compris la nouvelle technologie de cathéter. intervention ainsi que le traitement chirurgical traditionnel, tous axés sur la maximisation de la sécurité et l’optimisation des résultats.

Les recherches du professeur Civilini se sont concentrées sur la chirurgie aortique et les thérapies vasculaires mini-invasives. Il a co-écrit des lignes directrices de pratique pour le traitement des patients atteints de maladies cardiovasculaires et a joué un rôle dans des essais cliniques parrainés par l'industrie évaluant les performances de nouveaux stents expansibles utilisés pour traiter les maladies de l'aorte thoracique. Il a été invité à présenter son expérience clinique lors de conférences et symposiums médicaux internationaux et nationaux.

Il est l'auteur ou le co-auteur de plusieurs articles évalués par des pairs et de chapitres de livres sur son expérience clinique et ses recherches. Il est réviseur pour les Annals of Vascular Surgery et est membre de la Société européenne de chirurgie vasculaire et de la Società Italiana di Chirurgia Vascolare ed Endovascolare.
