Formation professionnelle

Le Dr Filipek est diplômé de la Faculté de médecine de l'Académie de médecine de Cracovie. Il a obtenu son diplôme en 1977, sa première spécialisation en chirurgie générale en 1980 et sa deuxième spécialisation en urologie en 1986. Il a obtenu son doctorat en sciences médicales en 1999.

Expérience professionnelle

Le Dr Marek Filipek est chef du service d'urologie de l'hôpital spécialisé indépendant Western de Grodzisk Mazowiecki. Il a créé de toutes pièces l'un des services d'urologie les plus modernes et les mieux équipés de Pologne. Pendant de nombreuses années, le Dr Filipek a travaillé comme assistant principal et maître de conférences à la clinique d'urologie de la faculté de médecine de l'université Jagellonne. De 2000 à 2006, il a dirigé le service d'urologie de l'hôpital provincial Saint-Luc de Tarnów.

Certificats

Il a participé à de nombreux cours scientifiques et de perfectionnement. Il a effectué des stages et bénéficié de bourses dans de prestigieux centres d'urologie étrangers, notamment à la clinique d'urologie du professeur F. Debruyne à Nimègue. En 2014, le Dr Filipek a suivi une formation en HIFU Focal-One auprès du Dr Albert Gelet aux Hospices Civils de Lyon Édouard Herriot, à Lyon, en France. La même année, en avril, il a également participé au cours de l'École européenne d'urologie « Thérapie focale du cancer de la prostate » à Stockholm.

Activité scientifique

Le Dr Marek Filipek est membre de la Société polonaise d'urologie (en 1997, il était vice-président de la section de Cracovie de la PTU). Il est également membre titulaire de la Société européenne d'urologie. Il a été récompensé à de nombreuses reprises pour son activité scientifique et ses réalisations en urologie (lauréat, entre autres, du premier prix de la PTU et du prix du professeur Zew Wajsman). Ses réalisations scientifiques comprennent plusieurs dizaines de publications et d'articles présentés lors de congrès et de conférences polonais et étrangers. Il est l'auteur de plus de 30 publications et articles publiés, entre autres, dans Urologia Polska ou présentés lors des congrès de la Société polonaise d'urologie et de la Société européenne d'urologie. Il a également participé à de nombreuses reprises à des essais cliniques multicentriques internationaux. Chaque année, le Dr Filipek participe également aux réunions de l'American Urological Association.

Le Dr Stefan W. Czarniecki est né aux États-Unis, où il a débuté ses études, qu'il a poursuivies à l'Université McGill de Montréal et à l'Université Jagellonne de Cracovie. Outre la médecine, il a étudié l'histoire de l'art, les sciences politiques et la physique.

Il dirige le seul centre complet de diagnostic et de traitement robotisé du cancer de la prostate en Europe centrale. Il collabore cliniquement avec des centres aux États-Unis, aux Pays-Bas, en Grande-Bretagne, en Allemagne et en France. Membre actif de comités et de sections de l'Association européenne d'urologie, il donne des conférences à l'international. Il est co-auteur de nombreuses publications scientifiques, notamment d'analyses internationales multicentriques sur l'utilisation des biopsies liquides dans le diagnostic sélectif du cancer de la prostate.

Il est spécialisé en urologie oncologique, en diagnostics et thérapies personnalisés, en traitement focal et en surveillance active moderne du cancer de la prostate. Depuis plus de dix ans, il pratique des thérapies robotisées pour le traitement du cancer de la prostate par la méthode HIFU et a réalisé plus de 2 500 biopsies de fusion de la prostate, se classant parmi les leaders mondiaux. Depuis le début de sa carrière, il a eu un impact significatif sur la qualité du diagnostic et du traitement du cancer de la prostate en Pologne, ainsi que sur la communication médiatique concernant cette maladie.

Dr. Daniel Leszczyński graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Medical University of Warsaw in 1994. In 2002, he completed his specialization in urology and earned the title of Fellow of the European Board of Urology.

Dr. Leszczyński has many years of experience in laparoscopic urological surgery, initially as an assistant and later as an operating surgeon. He gained his expertise by participating in the majority of laparoscopic procedures at the Department of Urology of the Medical University of Warsaw. He is a member of the Polish Urological Association.

Prof. Dr. Ali Ferruh Akay is a board-certified urologist with more than 30 years of medical experience. He has specialized in urology for over 25 years. He currently serves as Professor of Urology at Başkent University Istanbul Hospital.

Dr. Akay earned his medical degree from Dokuz Eylul University. He completed his urology residency at Dicle University Faculty of Medicine. In 2005, he received advanced training in Endourology and Laparoscopic Surgery at the University of Rochester in the USA.

He has worked at several leading institutions. These include Dicle University, Istanbul Training and Research Hospital, Memorial Diyarbakır Hospital, Veni Vidi Hospital, and Başkent University Istanbul Hospital.

Dr. Akay’s expertise includes uro-oncology, endourology, minimally invasive procedures, stone surgeries, male infertility, erectile dysfunction, and BPH. He has published over 100 scientific articles and is an active member of the European Association of Urology (EAU).

Dr. Meryem Eken is an obstetrician-gynecologist and IVF specialist. She earned her M.D. and completed her residency at Istanbul University. She completed IVF clinical training at Zeynep Kamil in 2017. She led the IVF Unit at Hisar Intercontinental Hospital from 2020 to 2025. She heads the IVF Unit at Bahçeşehir University Medical Park Göztepe Hospital. She started in 2025. She has served on the faculty of Üsküdar University since 2024. She became a professor at Biruni University in 2025.

Her clinical focus includes infertility, intrauterine insemination (IUI), natural-cycle IVF, hysteroscopy, endometriosis, and minimally invasive myomectomy. She has authored or co-authored more than 30 peer-reviewed international articles. Several appeared in SCI and SSCI journals. In 2016, she received First Prize for an oral presentation from the Turkish Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics.

Dr. Ali Osman Mucuoglu is a neurosurgeon. He completed his neurosurgery residency at Dokuz Eylül University from 2013 to 2019 after graduating from Eskişehir Osmangazi University in 2012 (2005–2012). He worked at Dokuz Eylül University and Muş State Hospital from 2019 to 2021. He has practiced at Atlas University Hospital since 2021.

He has five publications. These include a case report in the International Journal of Surgery Case Reports that has been cited seven times. He also reported on 3D printer‑assisted transsphenoidal hypophysectomy and on emergency minimally invasive intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) surgery. He delivered an oral presentation at the 33rd Turkish Neurosurgical Society Congress in 2019.

He is a member of the Turkish Neurosurgical Society, the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies, and the Istanbul Chamber of Medicine. His advanced training includes spinal surgery courses in 2016 and 2017, the European Training Course on Head Injury and Functional Neurosurgery in 2017, and Surgical Neuroanatomy in 2017. He also holds an animal experimentation certificate from 2016.

Dr. Bugra Bilge Keseroglu specializes in robotic and laparoscopic urology. His robotic work includes radical prostatectomy (conventional and Retzius-sparing), radical cystectomy, sacrocolpopexy, and Burch colposuspension. His laparoscopic work includes radical prostatectomy with lymph node dissection, radical cystectomy, sacrocolpopexy, and Burch colposuspension. He also performs laparoscopic nephrectomy and partial nephrectomy, pyeloplasty, all endourological surgeries (stone surgery and endoscopic procedures), HOLEP, and female incontinence surgery.

Dr. Halil Can is a Professor of Neurosurgery (2025; Associate Professor 2020). He completed neurosurgical training at Istanbul University–Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 2007. His clinical focus includes endoscopic and microsurgical spine surgery for fractures, tumors, and degenerative disease; advanced pain procedures; endoscopic skull base and pituitary surgery; and neurovascular, neuro-oncologic, and peripheral nerve surgery.

He has 21 international peer-reviewed papers (SCI/SSCI). Topics include cadaveric morphometry of Kambin’s triangle and the transforaminal triangular working zone, lumbar arterial and anterior approach anatomy, and an in vitro test of a new lumbar fixation device.

His clinical studies include a single-team series of 81 posterior circulation aneurysms, with 13 flow-diversion cases. He also reported five spinal cavernous malformation cases. He conducted Phase I safety and feasibility stem-cell trials in pediatric hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy and in chronic complete spinal cord injury.
