Le Dr Giorgia Mangili dirige le groupe d'oncologie gynécologique médicale à l'hôpital de l'Institut scientifique San Raffaele depuis 2002. Elle est diplômée en médecine générale et spécialisée en gynécologie-obstétrique et en oncologie. Elle est associée et professeur en gynécologie-obstétrique. Elle concentre son travail sur l'oncologie gynécologique, les tumeurs gynécologiques rares, la préservation de la fertilité en oncologie et le cancer et la grossesse. Elle est membre de l'Organisation européenne pour le traitement des maladies trophoblastiques, de la Société européenne d'oncologie gynécologique et de la Société italienne d'oncologie gynécologique.

Ce médecin a de l'expérience en matière de traitement endocrinien et collabore à des études visant à surmonter la résistance à l'hormonothérapie. Il a également participé à de nombreuses études de phase 1, 2 et 3 sur le sein et le mélanome, qui ont conduit à l'approbation de nouveaux médicaments dans de nouvelles indications. Leur principal domaine d'intérêt est l'immunothérapie pour le traitement du mélanome et les soins aux patients.
