He is nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize as well as the Nobel Prize in Medicine for the India Project, a plastic surgery camp in India treating thousands of patients with congenital birth defects or burn injuries each year. An innovator in his field, he has also done extensive research on stem cell therapy for hair regrowth and hair restoration in female and male baldness.

A prolific writer and accomplished presenter, he has given presentations for the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and many others and been published in The American Journal of Cosmetic Surgery, on Medforum.com, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Headache and the Proceedings of the American Association for Hand Surgery.
