Professor Byung-Hee Oh, MD, PhD, is a cardiologist at Incheon Sejong Hospital. He graduated from Seoul National University College of Medicine. He completed training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at Seoul National University Hospital. Ses intérêts actuels sont le perfectionnement de la chirurgie cardiaque néonatale complexe, la chirurgie cardiaque chez les nourrissons et les enfants mal nourris, le sauvetage des patients présentant une cardiopathie congénitale tardive et le développement de soins cardiaques rentables pour les enfants dans les pays en développement. Après une formation de base, il a rejoint le département de chirurgie cardiothoracique et vasculaire de l'AIIMS et était professeur adjoint au moment où il a rejoint l'Escorts Heart Institute pour créer sa division de soins cardiaques pédiatriques. Il a suivi une formation en chirurgie cardiaque pédiatrique et infantile sous la direction du célèbre chirurgien cardiaque pédiatrique Dr RBBMee en tant que Senior Fellow au département de chirurgie cardiaque pédiatrique du Royal Children's Hospital de Melbourne en Australie en 1989.
