Le médecin est diplômé de l'école de médecine de l'université d'Istanbul et a effectué des stages dans les cliniques ophtalmologiques universitaires de Cologne et de Tübingen, en Allemagne. Il est membre du DOG, de l'AAO, de l'ASCRS et de l'ESCRS et possède des certifications en application du LASIK, en correction de la presbytie avec des lentilles intraoculaires multifocales, en techniques de fixation sclérale, en réticulation du collagène cornéen, en applications femtoseconde pour la chirurgie du segment antérieur et en analyse de la topographie cornéenne.
