Le Dr Sebastian Schoppmann est spécialiste en chirurgie générale et viscérale et dirige l'unité des tumeurs gastro-œsophagiennes (CCC-GET) au Comprehensive Cancer Center (CCC) de Vienne. Il est l'auteur de plus de 240 articles spécialisés et est rédacteur consultant pour de nombreuses revues. Il est spécialiste de la chirurgie gastro-intestinale supérieure depuis 2007 et professeur associé de chirurgie au département de chirurgie de l'université médicale de Vienne depuis 2006.

Le professeur Schindl est consultant principal dans le service clinique de chirurgie générale et abdominale de l'hôpital universitaire de chirurgie de l'hôpital général de Vienne. Il est spécialisé dans les chirurgies du pancréas, du foie, de la vésicule biliaire et du système biliaire, ainsi que des organes internes, les ruptures de tissus, les hémorroïdes, l'obésité, la chirurgie septique, l'endoscopie et les miroirs gastro-intestinaux.
