Dr. Yigit Changa is an Associate Professor of Cardiology. He received advanced training at Dr. Siyami Ersek Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Training and Research Hospital. He became a cardiology specialist in 2016 and completed his residency in 2010. Dr. Changa is a member of the Turkish Society of Cardiology and the Turkish Medical Association.
He has worked at leading hospitals, including Ataşehir and Kadıköy Florence Nightingale Hospitals. Dr. Changa speaks English fluently. He has a solid academic and clinical background in cardiology.
Dr. Mehmet Yigit is an internal medicine specialist. He focuses on diabetes, metabolic syndrome, thyroid diseases, and hypertension. He also treats gastrointestinal problems such as dyspepsia, gastritis, and irritable bowel syndrome. In addition, he manages spondylitis and connective tissue diseases.
Dr. Yigit graduated from Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine in 2007. He completed his internal medicine training at Adnan Menderes University in 2013. He has worked as Assistant Chief Physician at Liv Hospital Ulus. He has held Medical Director roles at Recordati Rare Diseases and Alexion Pharmaceuticals. He has also held leadership positions at Abbvie and Novo Nordisk Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Yigit has served as an internal medicine physician at Manisa State Hospital. He has contributed to research as an assistant at ADU.
Prof. Dr. Deniz Süha Küçükaksu is a cardiovascular surgeon with over 35 years of experience. He specializes in adult and pediatric cardiac surgery, heart transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support. He leads the Heart Transplantation and Artificial Heart Center at Başkent University Istanbul Hospital.
Dr. Küçükaksu completed his medical and surgical training in Turkey. He also received advanced fellowships in Germany, France, and the United States. His focus has been on LVAD systems and heart failure surgery.
He introduced mechanical circulatory support and artificial heart programs in Turkey. He has performed many types of surgeries, including coronary bypass (off-pump), valve replacements, aortic repair (EVAR/TEVAR), and reoperations. He has also established heart transplant centers at several institutions.
Dr. Küçükaksu has held senior academic and administrative roles. He has contributed to total artificial heart surgery and hybrid cardiovascular procedures. He has received national and international awards for his scientific and surgical work.
