Il a enrichi son expertise en visitant des centres de référence de premier plan aux États-Unis, notamment le Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center de Manhattan, à New York. Là, il s'est plongé dans les techniques mini-invasives, laparoscopiques et microchirurgicales sous la direction de mentors estimés tels que John Daly, Michele Gagner et Murray Brennan.
