Le professeur Filippini a débuté sa carrière en 1980 et enseigne à l'Université de Chieti depuis les années 1990 dans les domaines de la chirurgie générale, de la microchirurgie, de la chirurgie reconstructive, de la chirurgie vasculaire, de l'orthopédie et de la gynécologie. Son domaine d'activité principal est la chirurgie oncologique, en particulier le « traitement chirurgical des tumeurs localement avancées et des résections multi-organiques ». Il a enrichi son expertise en visitant des centres de référence de premier plan aux États-Unis, notamment le Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center de Manhattan, à New York. Là, il s'est plongé dans les techniques mini-invasives, laparoscopiques et microchirurgicales sous la direction de mentors estimés tels que John Daly, Michele Gagner et Murray Brennan. De plus, en 2005, il a encore élargi ses compétences au City of Hope Oncology Center de Los Angeles, en se concentrant sur la chirurgie robotique en oncologie.

En 1980, le professeur Filippini a obtenu son diplôme de médecine et de chirurgie à l'Université G. D'Annunzio de Chieti en Italie avec mention, en présentant une thèse expérimentale sur l'anastomose lympho-veineuse à l'aide de techniques microchirurgicales. Il a terminé sa spécialisation en chirurgie générale à l'Université de Pise avec distinction après cinq ans. En 1990, il a obtenu une autre spécialisation en chirurgie plastique et reconstructive à l'Université de Padoue en Italie, où il a maintenu un dossier académique exceptionnel.

Le professeur Filippini a participé à de nombreuses conférences nationales et internationales et est l'auteur de plus de 100 publications scientifiques. Il est également co-auteur de deux monographies.

Dr. Binnur Simsek is a gastroenterology specialist. She has experience in liver cirrhosis, portal hypertension, hepatocellular carcinoma, liver transplantation, and viral hepatitis (B, C, Delta). She also treats alcoholic and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, peptic ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, and inflammatory bowel diseases such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s colitis.

She completed her medical and gastroenterology training at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine. Dr. Simsek has worked at Istanbul University, Sanlıurfa Education and Research Hospital, Liv Hospital, and Istinye University. She is a member of the Turkish Association for the Study of the Liver and the Turkish Society of Gastroenterology.
