Après avoir obtenu son diplôme de la Faculté de médecine dentaire de l'Université d'Ege en 2003, il a commencé son doctorat au Département de parodontologie de l'Institut de santé de la même université. Après avoir terminé son doctorat en 2009, il a commencé à travailler comme assistant de recherche au Département de parodontologie de la Faculté de médecine dentaire de l'Université d'Ege.

Il est devenu professeur associé en 2015 et a poursuivi ses recherches cliniques et universitaires. En 2022, il est devenu professeur titulaire et a publié plus de 30 études dans des revues scientifiques renommées. Il a développé un outil de prélèvement de greffes de tissu conjonctif (Nizam Punch), qui est produit en Allemagne, et deux systèmes d'implants qui sont utilisés dans de nombreux pays. Il conserve toujours son poste universitaire à la faculté de médecine dentaire de l'université d'Ege, département de parodontologie.
