Dr. Cagatay Saim Tezel is a Professor of Thoracic Surgery at Memorial Şişli Hospital since 2025. From 2021 to 2025, he was a Professor at Haliç University Faculty of Medicine and at Liv Hospital Ulus. Earlier, he served at SB Süreyyapaşa Chest Diseases and Thoracic Surgery Training and Research Hospital as a specialist, associate professor, and educational supervisor.

He earned his MD from Ankara University. He completed his Thoracic Surgery specialization at SB Heybeliada Chest Diseases and Thoracic Surgery Hospital from 2000 to 2005. His international training includes a 6‑month observership at the Royal Brompton Hospital and work in the Leicester University clinics. He also attended the STS 41st Annual Meeting and the Ankara University Esophageal Surgery Program. He was part of the Süreyyapaşa Thoracic Surgery Transplant Team. He was an internship lecturer at Yeditepe University from 2013 to 2020. He served on the editorial board of the Heybeliada Medical Bulletin in 2001.

He is a member of the Turkish Thoracic Surgery Society, the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the Turkish Thoracic Society, and the European Respiratory Society. He advised a thesis that won third place in the Istanbul Medical Chamber Thesis Competition.

Français Le professeur Dr Ayla Güven a obtenu son diplôme de la faculté de médecine de l'université de Gazi en 1986 et a effectué son service obligatoire au dispensaire antituberculeux de Bornova pour les maladies pulmonaires de l'université Ege. Après avoir travaillé comme médecin spécialiste, elle a commencé sa formation de surspécialité en endocrinologie pédiatrique à la faculté de médecine de l'université de Gazi en septembre 2000 et est devenue spécialiste en endocrinologie pédiatrique en décembre 2002. En avril 2003, elle a commencé à travailler comme professeure adjointe à la faculté de médecine de l'université Ondokuz Mayıs et a travaillé au département d'endocrinologie pédiatrique et de diabète de l'hôpital pour enfants de Pittsburgh, aux États-Unis, de mai à novembre 2003. Après son retour en Turquie, elle a continué à travailler à la faculté de médecine de l'université Ondokuz Mayıs. Cette clinique a été la première du pays à proposer une formation en endocrinologie pédiatrique. Durant son séjour, une personne est devenue spécialiste en endocrinologie pédiatrique. Le 13 mars 2006, elle a réussi l'examen et obtenu le titre de professeure agrégée. Depuis décembre 2006, elle travaille à l'hôpital de formation et de recherche de Göztepe. Elle y a été nommée cheffe de la clinique d'endocrinologie pédiatrique en novembre 2008 et a commencé à dispenser une formation en endocrinologie pédiatrique en mars 2009. Entre 2009 et 2017, elle a formé cinq spécialistes en endocrinologie pédiatrique. La plupart des médecins qu'elle forme actuellement ont obtenu des titres universitaires de professeurs et de professeurs agrégés. Après avoir travaillé comme formatrice à l'hôpital Zeynep Kamil pour enfants et femmes de l'Université des sciences de la santé de 2017 à 2021, elle a pris sa retraite de la fonction publique à sa demande.
