Il est né en 1965 à Istanbul. En 1982, il est diplômé du lycée de garçons de Kabataş. Après avoir obtenu son diplôme de la faculté de médecine de l'université d'Istanbul en 1988, il a terminé sa spécialisation en obstétrique et gynécologie à la faculté de médecine Cerrahpaşa de l'université d'Istanbul, département d'obstétrique et de gynécologie. Il est devenu professeur associé à la faculté de médecine de Cerrahpaşa en 1993 et est devenu professeur en 2003. Elle s'intéresse à la médecine et à la chirurgie de la reproduction, à l'infertilité, à l'endométriose et à l'adénomyose et a de nombreuses études, articles et formations sur ces sujets. H-index (14.08.2023) Google Scholar : 30, Scopus (Elsevier) : 23. Il est le fondateur de l'Association turque d'endométriose et d'adénomyose. Il a participé et organisé de nombreuses réunions scientifiques internationales sur l'endométriose.
