Il est entré à la Faculté de Médecine Cerrahpaşa de l'Université d'Istanbul en 1987 et a commencé son service obligatoire dans le district d'Akçaabat de Trabzon en 1993. En janvier 1995, il a été admis au service de chirurgie hépato-biliaire de l'hôpital Érasme de l'Université Libre de Bruxelles à Bruxelles, en Belgique. Il a commencé sa résidence en chirurgie générale en octobre 1996 et est devenu spécialiste en chirurgie générale en Belgique en 2002 avec la thèse "Le Re-do Gastroplastie dans le traitement des complications des Procedure Bariatriques pour Obesité Morbide".

Il a travaillé dans le service de chirurgie hépatobiliaire de l'hôpital Erasme de l'ULB jusqu'en octobre 2003, puis a rejoint l'hôpital Providence à Neuchâtel en octobre 2003 en tant que chef adjoint de la clinique de chirurgie. En mars 2004, il a été nommé chef de la clinique de chirurgie de l'hôpital Cadolles Pourtales NHP de Neuchâtel et a joué un rôle important dans la chirurgie laparoscopique avancée, la chirurgie bariatrique, la chirurgie oncologique, la traumatologie, la chirurgie vasculaire et thoracique et la formation des résidents.

Il a débuté sa carrière dans le secteur privé en obtenant une équivalence dans le domaine de la chirurgie générale à l'Université de Çukurova. Il exerce actuellement en tant que spécialiste en chirurgie générale à l'hôpital NPISTANBUL.

Dr. Ibrahim Cansaran Tanıdır is a pediatric cardiologist at Memorial Ataşehir Hospital. He co-founded the Pediatric Cardiology Department at Başakşehir Çam & Sakura City Hospital. He led its cardiac catheterization laboratories. He has been a professor of pediatric cardiology since 2022.
