Assoc. Le Dr Ali DURMUŞ est né dans la commune de Fevzipaşa, İslahiye, Gaziantep. Parce que son père travaillait à Tekel, il a commencé ses études à l'école primaire Malatya Derme et les a terminées à l'école primaire Adıyaman Atatürk. Lorsque son père a été nommé dans le district d'Amasya Taşova, il a fréquenté l'école secondaire Taşova Atatürk. Il a terminé ses études secondaires au lycée Gaziantep Kilis, se classant 3e.

En raison de son succès dans son service obligatoire, Ali Durmuş a été nommé médecin-chef adjoint du département d'oncologie de l'hôpital de formation et de recherche d'Okmeydanı.

Plus tard, il a été nommé responsable de la formation au département de chirurgie générale et de gastroentérologie. Il a contribué au développement des chirurgies laparoscopiques de l'estomac et de l'intestin (gastrectomie en manchon, pontage gastrique, reflux, cancer du côlon, cancer de l'estomac, etc.) en Turquie. Entre 2002 et 2015, il a formé des dizaines d’assistants et les a aidés à devenir chirurgiens généralistes.

En 2015, il a quitté son emploi à Okmeydanı et a travaillé comme professeur assistant. Il a commencé à travailler comme membre du corps professoral de l'Université de Nişantaşı.
