Docent Stanisław Kwiek is an eminent specialist in neurosurgery.
Doctor Stanisław Kwiek is a graduate of the Silesian Medical Academy in Katowice. In 1995, he became a first degree specialist in neurosurgery and 3 years later completed his second degree specialisation in neurosurgery and neurotraumatology. In 1997, he was awarded a doctorate in medical sciences. A few years later, he defended his postdoctoral thesis entitled: ‘Determination of predictive factors determining the long-term outcome of patients with vestibular nerve casing operated on with retro-axial access: analyses and observations made on the basis of own surgical experience during operations performed with intraoperative multimodal monitoring of the patient's neurophysiological functions’. The paper was published in 2013 by the publishing house of the Silesian Medical University.
He acquired his professional experience working, among others, as an assistant professor at the Department of Neurosurgery of the Medical University of Katowice, with which he is still associated.
