Grâce au lutécium, les cellules cancéreuses sont détruites de manière sélective, sans affecter les tissus sains de l'organisme. C'est pourquoi cette méthode de traitement peut être littéralement appelée "radiothérapie locale". En outre, le médicament n'a pas d'effet toxique sur la moelle osseuse et les reins, détruisant la tumeur de l'intérieur.
