L'idée est d'utiliser un nouveau produit radiopharmaceutique - le Lutetium 177 PRRT. Le médicament est administré par voie intraveineuse à des intervalles de 7 à 8 semaines. Grâce au lutécium, les cellules cancéreuses sont détruites de manière sélective, sans affecter les tissus sains de l'organisme. C'est pourquoi cette méthode de traitement peut être littéralement appelée "radiothérapie locale". En outre, le médicament n'a pas d'effet toxique sur la moelle osseuse et les reins, détruisant la tumeur de l'intérieur.
En outre, l'utilisation de cette méthode permet aux patients d'éviter les effets secondaires sévères de la chimiothérapie, tels que vomissements, nausées, douleurs, alopécie, faiblesse. Il est également important que le traitement soit effectué par une équipe spéciale de professionnels de la santé. Ils travaillent tous sous la supervision du Dr Inna Ospovat, spécialiste du service de thérapie nucléaire de l'hôpital Ikhilov.
