Les oncologues traitent les patients atteints de cancer par chimiothérapie dans le service d'oncologie de l'hôpital San Raffaele.
En fonction de l'état du patient, la chimiothérapie peut être utilisée à titre préventif ou pour préparer le patient à une intervention chirurgicale pour l'ablation d'une tumeur.
San Raffaele peut accueillir jusqu'à 210 patients atteints de cancer. Le régime de chimiothérapie est composé par des oncologues pour chaque patient individuellement.
