My mom Ludmila Gofman(77) Holocaust survivor has been admitted to Meir Hospital (Kfar Saba) on April 1st to Corona Bet department. She was admitted from Geriatric rehab center where she was receiving rehabilitation following surgery to repair a hip fracture, which she suffered in early March. Out of 30 people at the center (patients and staff) 15 were determined to be carriers of COVID-19. In addition to the current issues of COVID and broken hip she is a chronic sufferer… of diabetes and has received a stent in her heart. Because of the broken hip she cannot move without assistance anywhere. But while all that is known she cannot get any of the necessary medical treatments regardless of the COVID status. She needs a wheelchair to go to the bathroom, she needs insulin, monitoring of her blood sugar and such. From what we were told by her and some other patients whom we have reached by phone medical personnel cannot be reached even with a call button. A doctor who came to check this morning on them and was asked to request a wheel chair for her to go to the bathroom told her to do this into the diaper that they put on her and someone will come in to change it but the nurses and other medical personnel come in and out and say: later and she was in this for at least 6 hours prior to the doctor's visit. From the descriptions we can only conclude that the conditions in which they are being held are designed for them to die as quickly as possible or as slow as possible and the best way I can describe it is "a concentration camp for the sick". I've spoken with Miri from Public Relations and was told that the treatment that "The treatment that these people receive is the one that was prescribed by the Ministry of Health". I am frankly appalled if this is actually true that the Ministry would design treatment that would basically ignore all needs of the patients and seemingly just leave them to die! I am writing to you as a last resort because I have exhausted all other options and given my current location I cannot help her in person. And while some may be considering that my mother may be suffering from delusions I can assure you it is not the case. She is active in the community and up until a couple of years go was a director of a elder care housing (she would have stayed if not forcibly retired) in Kfar Saba.

בעלי אושפז בבית החולים במחלקת ריאות. צוות מקסים, מקצועי,אכפתי ואחראי. במהלך האישפוז גילינו שבית החולים הקים גינה חדשה, מטופחת ומקסימה להנאת החולים, המלווים והעובדים. גינה, ללא עישון!, רק חבל שצוות העובדים שלכם יושב שם ומעשן על המטופלים וכשמעירים להם הם מסתכלים עליהם כאילו הם לא בסדר. חבל מאוד!!!העיקר בית החולים מרושת בשלטים שהמפר את האיסור נקנס ב 1000 שח.

ב23.4 הגעתי עם ת.לוואי חמורות. שלחתם אותי הביתה וטענתם שאני מדמיינת. לאחר יומיים אובחנתי בביח בלינסון (המדהים!) כחולת סרטן!!! ועכשיו קיבלתי מכתב על טופס 17 שהפקס שלכם לא העביר על סך 961. אז תודה רבה על כלום, ועל התעסקות בבירוקרטיה מולכם תוך כדי כימותרפיה על אף שחא הסכמתם לבדוק אותי. למרות שהתחננתי ובכיתי מכאבים ורק זלזלתם בי ושאלתם למה אני באה בזמן קורונה ושזה כלום. תתביישו לכם. מקווה שאף אחד לא יחווה מה שאני חווה מולכם. בושה וחרפה.

בית חולים מצויין ,מיון ילדים מדהים הכי טוב שהייתי בו ,יחס מקצועיות ושירות טוב,הבן שלי שבר את היד ונדרש ניתוח,מרגע ההגעה ועד ביצוע הניתוח ומהלך האשפוז פשוט מדהימים !

פוסט פרגון למחלקת כירורגית ב' _________________________________ לפני כשבועיים הגעתי למיון ביה"ח ומשם למחלקה כירורגית ב' עם דלקת בתוספתן והאזור לאחר ששכבתי מספר ימים בבית עם כאבים עזים, חום, הקאות וצמרמורות אשר זוהו על ידי רופא מר"מ כ"וירוס". מיד עם כניסתי למחלקה חוויתי חוויה נהדרת מצוות מסור, דואג , מקצועי ונעים. נשארתי באשפוז עם טיפול מסורתי במשך 5 ימים לבקשתי ושוחררתי לבייתי. … כעבור כשבוע וחצי חזרו הכאבים והפעם חזרתי להתנתח. התקבלתי בסבר פנים יפות על ידי פרופ' אביטל הנעים והרגיש ונותחתי בהצלחה על ידי ד"ר מורן. כלל הצוות, האחיות, נשות הסיוע והעזר, היו לבביות, נעימות, רגישות וקשובות לכל בקשה או צורך שעלה. יצאתי אחרי הניתוח וכעבור 24 שעות אני כבר בבית. מרוגש משירות יוצא דופן בשירות הציבורי. בית חולים של הקופה. מתנהל באופן מקצועי. משביע רצון ונעים. יישר כח ותודה על הכל.

פשוט מזעזע. נותחתי ב-8 בתי חולים שונים ובחיים לא קיבלתי יחס משפיל ומגעיל כמו שקיבלתי במאיר. שום יחסי אנוש . שום אכפתיות. שעות המתנה. דיבור מגעיל. קמצנות בלתי נתפסת. ביקשתי כרית אחרי ניתוח - לא רופא? - לא… שמיכה? "תדליקי מזגן" מה לגבי המלווה ? אפשר לתת לו משהו ? "שיהנה . יש כיסא . " בחיים לא נחזור לפה. בושה.

החולה שכבה במצב התייבשות הפנימית ה ...ללא הבחנה ..כעבור 3 ימים הדרדר מצבה העבירו אותה לכיררוגית ב יום אחרי הניתוח והתקף לב תוך כדי ניתוח 49 שעות בחדר ניתוח מונשמת מוקדמת הרופאה מודיעה אתם משוחררים תוך כדי מצב החולה מדרדר דלקת בבטן שלשולים אוכל לא עובר לה בגרון עדיין מיובשת דלקת בבטן אי שליטה בצרכים ועם כל זה אין צוות רפואי שיטפל האחיות רבות מי חדש אליה אחיות מגיעות ממחלקות שונות ...רופאים שעדיין לא סיימו לימודים מגייסים לטפל בחולים ...והחולה נעלמת לאט לאט

על הצוותים הרפואיים האחיות האמפטיות יש לי רק שבחים לומר, עובדים מכל הלב, בסבלנות רבה, למרות שלוקח שעות המתנה, לסיטי, שעות לפיענוח, להתייעצות, שהינו 10 שעות במיון, אבל כל זה פחות מטריד מהעובדה שפעמיים הכניסו /העבירו חולי קורונה בתוך חלל המיון הרגיל , ללא הפרדה, רק הזיזו מספר מטרים את מי ששהה במיון הצידה, לא חיטאו את המקום אחרי, חולי הקורונה עצמם היו חשופים לשאר האנשים ללא בידוד או הגנה לסביבה. היחיד שהיה ממוגן היה מי שהעביר את החולים. הרבה אנשים היו בקבוצות סיכון במיון, מ…יותר לציין שלא נעשה חיטוי של האיזור, אנשים חזרו לשבת באותו איזור בלי לדעת שעבר שם חולה קורונה ללא הפרדה. האיזור לא מאוורר ולא נעשה חיטוי במקום. לא יאומן. חלמאות לשמה. סיכון החולים שהגיעו למיון , כל הזמן נטען שחולי קורונה מגיעים לאיזור אחר ולא למיון הרגיל. מיותר לציין שלא נשמר מרחק גם בין הבאים למיון, וחלק קטן מאנשי הבטחון גם יושבים שם ללא מסיכה אבל זו הבעיה הקטנה. סיכון הציבור הוא מחדל.

התקבלתי בסבר פנים יפות חרף הכאבים שסבלתי דווקא בגלל זה המצב דרש אמפטיה של כולם ואכן מהקבלה ועד לרופא האחות כולם היו אנושים. תודה רבה ובע"ה בריאות לכולנו
