12.03.2020Ich hatte vorher bei der 116117 angerufen und die Auskunft bekommen ich solle zum Bürgerhospital fahren.Meine Äußerungen waren zudem nicht respektlos, sondern beschreiben Tatsachen. Und ich habe ja nicht nur Erfahrung mit Mitarbeitern der Kassenärztlichen Vereinigung machen müssen, sondern auch mit Mitarbeitern Ihres Hauses. Mit Ihrer Antwort bestätigen Sie vielmehr den schlechten Eindruck, den ich gewonnen habe. Die Verantwortung wird weggeschoben. Schade!11.03.2020Seit Samstag hatte ich Fieber und Gelenkschmerzen, außerdem Husten und sehr starke Kopfschmerzen. Als es mir am Sonntag weiter schlechter ging, besuchte ich das Bürgerhospital an der Nibelungenallee. Wider Erwarten war trug trotz der aktuellen Situation niemand Schutzmasken. Ich torkelte geschwächt von meinen Symptomen zur ZNA und dachte, dass mir dort geholfen werden könnte. Ich war hochvermummt, mit Maske und Kapuze über dem Kopf und hielt Abstand zu anderen Anwesenden. Das desinteressiert wirkende Personal bot mir keine Hilfe an. So Nach einer gefühlten Ewigkeit konnte ich meine Symptome schildern. Daraufhin wurde ich an den ärztlichen Bereitschaftsdienst verwiesen. Leider war der Mitarbeiter nicht in der Lage mir den Weg richtig zu erklären. Auch andere Anwesende kümmerten sich nicht. Durch eine Beschilderung fand ich schließlich zu meinem Ziel. Der türkisch-/arabischstämmige Arzt und seine Helferinnen im Raum anwesend. Beide Arzthelferinnen trugen keine Schutzmaske. Nach einer oberflächlichen Untersuchung attestierte er mir einen viralen Infekt. Corona schloss er einfach dadurch aus, dass ich nicht mit einem nachweislich Identifizierten in Kontakt stand. Ist der dumm? Trotz viralen Infekt verschrien er mir ein Antibiotikum. Ist der dumm? Und fälschlicherweise verschrieb mir ein Mittel gegen Reizhusten. Ist der dumm? Aus dieser Geschichte lerne ich: Die zuständige Anlaufstelle des Bürgerhospitals für möglichen Coronainfizierungen ist keineswegs in ihrer Ausstattung (Mundschutz, Desinfektion) bewappnet, noch professionell (Mentalität von Sanitätern und ersten Ansprechpartnern als auch Arzt). Ob ich nun Corona-infiziert bin oder nicht, da ist mir der Hausarzt in diesem Zeitpunkt noch am hilfreichen, aber Sonntag eben nicht verfügbar. Am Tag darauf ging ich früh morgens zu meinem Hausarzt und wurde dort ordentlich untersucht. Es wurden Abstriche gemacht und ins Labor gegeben. Das Ergebnis zeigte nun eine gewöhnliche Influenza. Aber natürlich kann jeder Mensch, der in meiner Umgebung ist, von Corona infiziert sein, ohne dass derjenige Symptome zeigt, beim Arzt war oder geschweige denn ihm Corona nachgewiesen wurde. Wie Menschen zum Teil in der Bahn ihre Tröpfchen durch Husten und Niesen und ohne Achtung der Hygiene, frei an die Umgebung geben, kann jeder Mensch von Corona infiziert werden. Auch werde ich in diesem Fall nicht wissen, wer mich genau angesteckt hat, und ob der- oder diejenige nachweislich Corona hat. In diesem Sinne, finde ich eine solche Frage sehr sinnlos und unverantwortlich von Seiten der Ärzte. Wenn ich ein egoistischer Mensch wäre und ohne Mundschutz in das Bürgerhospital marschiert wäre, hätte ich über meine Konversationen schon viele Kittelträger infizieren können.Ich hinterfrage das Ärztesystem und hoffe, dass das Bürgerhospital nur an diesem Tag nicht gut ausgestattet war oder die Umstände nur auf Einzelpersonen zurückzuführen sind, die zufällig an diesem Tag alle gleichzeitig unfähig waren.

Oh my God, how can a hospital have such terrible staff? Yesterday I wasn’t feeling well — I’m in my seventh month of pregnancy and went to the emergency room because of severe stomach pain and nausea. I had already vomited five times since morning. They told me I had to wait an hour, even though I was clearly in a bad condition. I felt so terrible that other patients were willing to give up their spots for me.
Eventually, after making a fuss, they took me into a room and just said everything looks fine, and that I should go to the maternity ward. When I got there, I encountered the most horrible staff imaginable. One woman in particular treated me very badly.
I was moaning from the pain, and she told me to stop making noise — saying others are in worse pain than me. It felt extremely misogynistic. They acted like pain doesn’t matter, like you’re not allowed to express it. They just wanted me to shut up. They even told my husband, “Your wife is making too much noise.” But it wasn’t under my control.
Another issue was that this woman kept rolling her eyes at me. I asked if my husband could be with me and she said no, claiming I had a virus. But when I asked the doctor whether I had a virus or if my symptoms were just due to pregnancy, the doctor said clearly: there is no sign of infection in my test results, just nausea from pregnancy.
Even with that confirmation, the nurses wouldn’t allow my husband in, and forced me to wear a mask constantly, even when I was alone in the room or using the toilet. The room was private — no one else was there. Still, every time they entered, they quietly opened the door and asked if I had my mask on. Even while sleeping, they forced me to wear a mask, despite no infection being detected in my tests.
One nurse even told me that if I took off the mask while sleeping or in the toilet, they would discharge me and send me home. I told them to remove my IV and I’d go, but they refused and insisted I wear the mask. This was the most terrifying hospital experience I’ve ever had. I would recommend that no one ever goes there — not even if they’re dying.
In the end, I told the nurse I couldn’t wear the mask while in pain and trying to sleep, because it made breathing difficult for me and my baby. And she replied, “Corona didn’t kill you, don’t worry — this mask won’t kill you either.” It was incredibly heartless. I was planning to give birth in this hospital, but now I’d rather give birth at home than ever experience something like that again — for the sake of myself and my baby. If it's really important to you to have a good place to give birth, don't go to this hospital at all.

Die Augenklinik unter Prof. Dr. med. Dr. med. habil. Marc Lüchtenberg ist einfach großartig! Vom Pfleger, über die Assistenzärzte bis zum Chef - so eine nette, entspannte und zuvorkommende medizinische Betreuung hatte ich noch nie. Man spürt als Patient, dass jeder dort gerne arbeitet und ich denke, das liegt wohl am sympathischen Prof. Lüchtenberg. Das Krankenhaus als solches ist schon in die Jahre gekommen aber die medizinische Versorgung dort ist auf 5***** Sterne Niveau. Vielen Dank an dieser Stelle an alle in der Augenklinik.

Ein wirklich DICKES LOB an die Intensivstation im Bürgerhospital. Mein Vater liegt dort seit Wochen, ALLE kümmern sich sehr liebevoll um ihn, kämpfen um ihn, sind zu uns super nett und versuchen uns auch jederzeit abzuholen und nach vielen auf und abs aufzubauen und zu beruhigen. DANKE !!!!! DANKE an die vielen wundervollen Menschen, die nicht nur ihre Arbeit erledigen, sondern die dies mit viel Liebe und Menschlichkeit tun.… ...von einer dankbaren Tochter...

Anfang Dezember 2019 war ich eine Woche zur Schmerztherapie auf der orthopädischen Station N7 und war von der Atmosphäre, die das Pflegepersonal sowie die Ärzte durch ihre liebe Art geschaffen hatten, sehr begeistert.

I cannot imagine a finer team of midwives. Everything else was standard, but the hospital's midwives are exceptional. I am truly grateful for them and I would definitely trust them with my child again.
One thing though, if your wife gives birth at this hospital and you make her eat the food here she will never forgive you.

Ich hatte bei Ihnen eine geplante Operation. Anschließend war ich auf der Station O5. Dr.Baase und sein Team an Schwestern, OP-Personal, so wie die Vorbereitung durch die hauseigene Praxis war reibungslos und ohne Komplikationen. Alle waren sehr herzlich und professionell. Die Zimmer sind neu. Ich hatte einen eigenen Fernseher mit Kopfhörer, es gab sogar einen Föhn im Badezimmer. Essen für ein Krankenhaus war auch ok. Einen Punkt Abzug gibt es für die katastrophale Parkplatzsituation, die Organisation der Nachsorge über die Feiertage und ein paar Schwestern, die nicht ganz so freundlich waren. Alles in allem würde ich jederzeit wieder in ihr Krankenhaus kommen.

Wir waren für die Geburt angemeldet, haben nach dem Blasensprung und unregelmäßigen Wehen am 08.10.2019 angerufen, ob wir vorbeikommen können und wurden auch untersucht. Uns wurde gesagt, dass ggf noch am selben Tag eingeleitet wird, doch nach einer langen Wartezeit ab 13 Uhr und der offiziellen Anmeldung im EG wurde uns um 1 Uhr nachts, als wir schon im Kreissaal lagen, gesagt, dass es ggf doch kein Blasensprung war und wir trotz Wehen nach Hause fahren sollen. Geht’s noch??Da uns keine andere Wahl blieb, haben wir es gemacht und mussten 1 Stunden nachdem wir zuhause waren einen Krankenwagen rufen, der uns dann letztendlich nach Sachsenhausen gefahren hat. Vom Bürgerhospital kann ich jeden nur abraten!

I wouldn’t recommend this hospital for childbirth. From the moment I arrived, I felt unsupported. I was admitted with mild contractions and sent to the postpartum ward, and my husband was kicked out. When my contractions suddenly got much stronger and I couldn’t move, I called the nurse. She told me to walk to the delivery room, down a long hallway and stairs, alone. My husband wasn’t allowed to help, and staff just watched as I struggled in obvious distress. A doctor even told me to move so he could pass.
When I finally got to the delivery area, you can’t just enter; you have to ring a bell and explain over a speaker, with people watching and listening. I was in so much pain I couldn’t speak. They only let me in when a woman in the waiting room intervened. The whole process was stressful and frightening. Only then was my husband allowed in.
The nurses showed no empathy. I was pressured into unwanted procedures with wrong information. The first epidural failed, and the anesthesiologist disappeared for hours, although I desperately needed pain reduction. They broke my waters even though I told them I cant handle more pain, and that I want to do it when the anesthesiologist is available. They pressured me into doing it by telling me it wouldn’t make things worse, and that if it did, they can have the anesthesiologist here in 20 min, when it actually made the pain so much more intense, after which I completely broke down. The pain became unbearable, but the anesthesiologist had gone home; the replacement was in a meeting. I waited hours, suffering.
After hours of extreme pain, they suggested a c-section. They gave me meds to stop contractions, but it didn’t work. I kept telling them, but they rolled their eyes and left me screaming. They put me under general anesthesia because I was in too much pain I couldn’t move or cooperate for the operation preparation, which was dangerous for me and baby, and, as it turns out, was caused by their mistake. I was surrounded by staff, nobody offered any support, everyone just watched, and seemed annoyed. I thought I was dying and fainted from the pain. Because of what my body went through, I lost blood during the operation and needed transfusion.
After, they forgot me in the recovery room. I didn’t see my baby for hours. Meanwhile, my husband was waiting and no one could tell him where I was or if I was even alive. No doctor or nurse ever came to explain what happened, or why everything had gone so wrong.
A few days later, by chance, I saw one of the nurses who had been with me. She told me that when they undressed me for the operation, they saw that the IV wasn’t in my vein during labor (the solution was going into the surrounding tissue), so I hadn’t received any of the medication, including antibiotics (both my baby and I ended up with infections), and that’s also why the contractions didn’t stop, which left me in agonizing and humiliating pain. She felt bad how everyone was treating me and that everyone was annoyed. Again, no apology from anyone at the hospital.
The postpartum ward was just as bad. The nurses were mean; I was yelled at for not picking up my lunch, though I couldn’t walk. No one helped with my baby. My husband could visit only two hours a day. We asked for a room so he could help, but they gave it to someone in clearly better shape. The first day I was allowed to stand, they made me take my baby up two floors (with stairs) for treatment at midnight, even though I could barely walk. When I said I couldn’t, they said I had to (literally), my husband wasn’t allowed to help. When I arrived upstairs, I almost fainted, they measured blood pressure drop, and put me in a wheelchair. Even then, I had to beg for help with the baby. We desperately needed help from my husband, because they don’t help.
There are more examples, but the point is: a humiliating and dehumanizing experience. I wish I had known, to spare my family.
After speaking to many doctors, I learned that stress, fear, and pain can slow labor. Sadly, this hospital’s approach only adds to that.

Trotz voller Auslastung der Geburtsstation und sehr eingespanntem Personal hatte ich eine wunderbare Hebamme und eine - letztendlich - super tolle Geburt.Herzlichen Dank an die lieben Hebammen, die Ärzte und das gesamte Pflegepersonal.Wartezeiten sind lang aber das ist in Ordnung, die Nachfrage ist eben sehr groß. Man muss Zeit mitbringen! Ganz einfach.Das Krankenhaus ist sauber und hygienisch.Hier kann man absolut nichts kritisieren.Das Essen ist zwar ziemlich miserabel aber in welcher Klinik schmeckt einem das schon?
