Professor Dina Ben-Yehuda is a leading oncohematologist in Israel. She directs the Hematology Department at Hadassah Medical Center. She founded the laboratory for molecular diagnostics of blood diseases. She is known for her research in malignant blood diseases, bone marrow transplantation, gene therapy, and immunology.
Prof. Ben-Yehuda completed her postgraduate training at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She has led Hadassah’s hematology department since 2000. In 2017, she became the first woman to serve as Dean of the Hadassah School of Medicine. She has received the Danielle Sonnenfeld Foundation’s Healing with the Heart Award. She is also a member of several national and international hematology societies.
Dr. Dimitrios Karussis is a neurologist with 30 years of experience. He specializes in neuroimmunology and bone marrow transplantation. He leads the EAE Laboratory and the Multiple Sclerosis Clinic at Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem.
Dr. Karussis is board-certified in neurology in Greece, the European Union, and Israel. He is a member of the European Steering Committee for Bone Marrow Transplantation in multiple sclerosis. He also serves on the executive boards of major neuroimmunology societies. Dr. Karussis has published over 200 scientific papers and reviews articles for international journals.
