Dr. Anton Luger is a Professor of Medicine and leads the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism at Vienna Medical University. He has published over 300 peer-reviewed articles in clinical, basic, and translational endocrinology.
Dr. Luger has served as President of the Endocrinology Section of the European Union of Medical Specialists. He has also held board positions in the Austrian Society of Endocrinology and the Austrian Diabetes Society. He is known for his work in improving endocrine research and medical care in Europe.
Dr. Klaus Kaczirek is a senior physician at the University Clinic for Surgery, Medical University of Vienna. He specializes in general and visceral surgery. He is known for his skill in hepatobiliopancreatic, oncological visceral, and endocrine surgery. His main focus is on complex operations involving the liver, pancreas, gastrointestinal tract, and endocrine organs.
Dr. Kaczirek holds board certifications in both general and visceral surgery. Since 2008, he has led the liver, gallbladder, and pancreas working group at the Austrian Society for Surgical Oncology. He is a member of the Austrian Society for Surgery, the European Society of Endocrine Surgeons, and other international surgical organizations. Dr. Philipp Riss leads the Surgical Endocrinology Working Group at the Medical University of Vienna. He specializes in general and visceral surgery. Dr. Riss is known for his expertise in thyroid and neuroendocrine tumor surgery. He has made important contributions to the field of endocrine surgery.
Dr. Riss received the Venia Docendi Award in 2017 and the Sandoz Award for Thyroid Research in 2010. He has organized international congresses and published many scientific papers. He is a member of respected organizations, such as the European Society of Endocrine Surgeons and the International Society of Surgery.
